President of European Confederation of the Shoe Retailers Associations (CEDDEC)headed 10 footwear retailers to look for business opportunities and cooperation partners on current held leather trade fairs in Shanghai. CEDDEC is organization severing for footwear retailers in EU countries, which keeps close tie with suppliers, retailers as well as consumers in EU. CEDDEC has played a vital role on promotion of international trade and balance the interests of different groups and sectors.
The insider said EU anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather shoes has not only hurt Chinese footwear but also cause supplying problems for some members and consumers, because shoes made in EU only account for 18% of EU market supply.
During the visiting EU buyers have shown great interests on snow boots, one of Chinese exhibitors said snow boots are popular in international market in recent years, they brought varieties of such shoes this times to meet buyers’ demand, although these buyers from EU are small and medium distributors but they have real intention to buy our products.
