The addition of contemporary trade show Class@ASR added a punch of boutique fashion brands to the Sept. 10-12 run of the Action Sports Retailer Trade Expo at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego. The core surf and skate companies proved that they could run with the fashion crowd while staying true to their core roots, as they turned out mini denim tie-dye shorts, easy tees and woven shirt dresses with hip, contemporary styling.
'80s Rock Concert
The '80s continue to influence skate brands as bleached and shredded skinny denim jeans and cut-off shorts were seen in nearly every booth with studded vests and cool tees to match.
Island Hopping
Beach coverups and Spring dresses were adorned with tie-dye treatments, tribal prints and tropical bright hues.
Beachside Country Club
Shirt dresses, shorts and rompers in plaids, checks and stripes merge the classic vacation beach house wardrobe staples with current shapes.
