The Argentine Footwear Chamber (CIC) is thrilled to participate for the first time at the Australian Shoe Fair to be held from 30 August to 1 September 2009 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre. With the support of the Argentine government, the CIC will display more than ten footwear brands along with a selected range of handbags.
CIC’s spokeswoman Paulina Campión has hailed the participation in this show as a milestone for the Argentine footwear industry. Argentine footwear has already built a solid reputation in the Latin American market and is becoming increasingly known in the US and some European countries. “This is a perfect opportunity for Australian consumers to know and appreciate the high-quality design of Argentine footwear and learn how competitive it is. Australia is a stable and attractive market worthwhile exploring so what better than being here!” Paulina said.
Marie Kinsella, Managing Director of Australian Exhibitions & Conferences Pty Ltd echoes Paulina’s sentiment. “The Argentina shoe has improved greatly over the last couple of years and gained in some significant market share thanks to the strong Euro - we look forward to seeing the reaction of the Australian footwear buyers at the Fair."
Footwear to be exhibited at the “Shoes from Argentina” stand (No 1444) include Norwich, Sucre, Pietra’s, IWO Ilicia, Bonaparte, Gaelle, Perugia Express, Pull-man, Riacal and My Way. Also on display will be handbags brands Humawaca, Pasión Argentina, Mi and Pe already available in Australia.
