PARIS, Nov. 26, 2010 - French building materials company Saint-Gobain SA Friday said it plans to build a new float glass in Bahia state, in northeastern Brazil with partner NSG Group.
MAIN FACTS:
- The new facility will be the sixth float line owned by Cebrace Cristal Plano Ltda, a joint venture between Saint-Gobain Glass and NSG Group in Brazil.
- The plant will be capable of producing 600 tons of flat glass a day to supply the Brazilian construction and automotive markets.
- The production facility is scheduled to come on stream in first-quarter 2013.
