Saint-Gobain To Help Renovate Local Home

Write: Areta [2011-05-20]
Dec. 14, 2010 - Saint-Gobain is teaming with a handful of local nonprofit organizations to renovate a Charlton Street home to make it more energy efficient and sell it to a first-time homebuyer.
Saint-Gobain, the Pennsylvania-based building products company, has major operations in Worcester and today gave a $550,000 grant to the national YouthBuild USA's green initiative.
About $100,000 of that money will be passed through to four major sites around the country, including in Worcester.
Saint-Gobain will work with the Main South Community Development Corp., Haley Building Design, Worcester YouthBuild and CertainTeed to renovate the home, located at 20 Charlton St., and sell it to a first-time homebuyer.
