On Dec 31th, CNNC Fuqing Nuclear Power Cooperation unit 3 began construction. This is the 3th nuclear power project constructed in Fujian province this year. It gives another contribution to realize energy saving and emission reduction in Fujian province and prosper West-Straits Economic Area.
As CNNC s first EPC model nuclear power project, Fuqing NPP constructed smoothly from Nov 21th, 2008. Unit 1 expected to be constructed and put into operation in Nov, 2013; unit 2 in Sep, 2014; units 3 and 4 began digging on Jun 5th, 2009 and expected to put into commercial operation respectively in July, 2015 and May, 2016; units 5 and 6 are ready for project application.
