After 21- month hard work in day and night, Fu Qing Nuclear Power Plant which has won several champions in national nuclear power construction has successfully finished the vertical loading of dome in No.1 plant unit. This project is finished 81days earlier than the schedule and signifies that No.1 Fu Qing Nuclear Power nuclear island has accomplished the stage of civil engineering and entered the stage of equipment installation.
The ceremony of vertical loading is held in the morning of August 18th. .General manager assistant of CNNC and general manager of engineering company Chen Xiaoming, general manager of Fu Qing Nuclear Power Corporation Lu Hongzao, party secretary of Fu Qing Nuclear Power Corporation Yang Hetao and other leaders and honored guests from stockholder companies, participation companies, Shanghai Nuclear and Radiation Control Post and local government attend this ceremony.
It is recorded that as part of steel liner in reactor plant, nuclear island dome has an effect on sealing nuclear reactor plant in order to prevent the leaking of radioactive substance. About the vertical loading dome, the diameter is 37 meters, the height is 11.05 meters, the weight is 145 tons and the whole weights 157 tons. The whole process of vertical loading contains four steps which are hiking up, inposition, circumgyrating and final falling. As to the successful vertical loading, the field installation, debugging and running will have a strong base in the future.
As the first national nuclear power project in which 6 plant units are constructed continuously, since construction is started in November 2008, everything goes well in Fu Qing Nuclear Power project. The No.1 and No.2 plant unit start to be constructed on November 21st 2008 and June 17th 2009 and will be finished and brought into production in 2013 and 2014 respectively. At present, the digging of No 3 and No.4 unit plant has almost been finished and the digging of No.5 and No.6 plant unit will start at the end of this year.
