On October 22, tested by the First Domestically Produced VVER Fuel Assemblies Acceptance Test Team of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation, "Tianwan TW1/2R04 Fuel Assemblies" successfully passed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in China Jianzhong Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd. (CJNF). By 2011, on the occasion of the fourth refueling of units 1 and 2 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant, the nuclear fuel assemblies engraved with "Made in China" will be used at the "heart" of the two units.
After testing, the Acceptance Test Team stated that the quality assurance program and quality control plan for the fuel assemblies were approved by the users and effectively implemented in the production, and the processes and products passed the quality accreditation. The fuel assemblies had integral quality certificates, met the design requirements, and were accepted.
On the same day, Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation signed the 5th and 6th Refueling Supply Contract for Units 1 and 2 of Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant with China Nuclear Energy Industry Corporation and CJNF.
