Colt hires SRK Consulting to advance gold and tungsten properties in Portugal

Canada-based junior explorer Colt Resources (P01:FSX) (COLTF:OTCQX) said Tuesday that it has hired SRK Consulting to design and implement a work program to advance the company's gold and tungsten properties in Portugal.

Colt said that SRK will assess and estimate the mineral resources of the advanced stage Montemor gold project and in southern Portugal, as well as the Tabua o tungsten project in the northern part of the country. Technical reports are expected in support of resource disclosure and initial project valuation.

The consulting company will also execute regional exploration programs surrounding the Montemor gold and Tabua o tungsten projects to add potential mineral resources to known areas of mineralization. In addition, SRK will assist will considering various processing facility options for future gold and tungsten production in Portugal.

SRK will begin site visits at the end of the month, with exploration programs targeted for the end of March this year.

Colt recently initiated a definition drilling campaign on the Tabua o project, where a total of 1530 m of drilling is planned by mid-March.
