Over 100 billion yuan of Mineral Resources Prospected Last Year
299 million yuan from the departments of state and Anhui Provincial Finance was invested in the prospecting of mineral resources in 2010, learned by the reporter from Anhui Provincial Administration of Land Resources. The value of Zinc & Gold Mine in Yaojialing and Molybdenum Mine in Huangshanling exceeds 100 billion yuan.
In recent years, a series of major breakthroughs in prospecting mines have been made. 96.2 thousand tons of tungsten mine was found in Qimen County in 2008. 2 large-scale metal mines, namely, Zinc & Gold Mine in Yaojialing and Molybdenum Mine in Huangshanling, were discovered in 2010.
New record with depth of 2706.68 meters was set in Iron Mine in Huoqiu County in 2010. Multilayer iron mine with nearly 40 meters thick was found in Xiguang Village --- Luoji Areas, which provided a new way of thinking in prospecting mines.
