Colt reports positive metallurgical study results, Tabua o

Canada-based junior explorer Colt Resources (CVE: GTP) (OTCQX: COLTF) said Wednesday that it has received positive results from a scoping study testing the metallurgical recovery on bulk samples from the Tabua o tungsten project in northern Portugal.

The company said that results indicate over 90% recovery of scheelite, an important ore of tungsten, achieved by centrifugal gravity separation - a method used to separate particles of different metals.

"We are very encouraged by these scoping level metallurgical test results that indicate high recoveries of scheelite," said president and CEO Nikolas Perrault.

"This report is another step forward in advancing the Tabua o tungsten project and showing its viability."

The scoping study, which was conducted by Inspectorate Exploration & Mining Services, was based on outcrop and drill core composite samples from the project.

The 76.8 kg drill core sample assayed 0.57% WO3, 0.08% S, 2.17% F and 0.065% Sn. Meanwhile, the 236.7 kg outcrop composite returned 0.64% WO3, 0.05% S, 1.67% F and 0.043% Sn.

Late last year, Colt began a 1,530 metre definition drilling campaign on the Tabua o property, which will lead to an initial resource estimate for the project by the third quarter.
