Hazelwood Resources (ASX: HAZ) has mobilised a diamond core drilling rig to commence drilling at Mt Mulgine Tungsten Project over the next two days, targeting the Mulgine Hill Deposit.

Mulgine Hill recently added 67% to the tungsten resource at the project in Western Ausralia (Hazelwood 70%, Gindalbie Metals (ASX: GBG) 30%), with 95% of the Mulgine Hill resource within 100 metres of the surface.

The program will consist of eight to nine core holes and test areas within the resource as a validation cross-check of the historical drilling to assist with the understanding of the deposit.

Mulgine Hill is one of two known deposits of tungsten at Mt Mulgine.

Hazelwood s 100% owned Big Hill Tungsten Deposit in the Pilbara already hosts a Proved and Probable Ore Reserve capable of sustaining a 12 year operational life.

A pre-feasibility study for Big Hill provided a positive development scenario for that project as a secure source of feedstock for the ATC Ferrotungsten Project. The company plans to implement Big Hill by 2013.

At Hazlewood's ATC Ferrotungsten Project in Vietnam, mechanical and electrical installation is in progress and the main furnace body will soon be in position.

Commissioning of mechanical systems is expected to commence this quarter and first production is expected by the first calendar half of 2011.
