The Dow Jones Moscow news, the Russian federation Statistics Bureau indicated last Friday that import volume of original sugar in Russia grew 13.2% in January, 2011 compared to the same period last year. It amounts to 93,600 tons. Simultaneously, it increased 13.4% compared to December, 2010.
Because the weather is arid in summer, the output of Russian beet reduced in 2010 compared to the same period. It causes the reduction of output in domestic country. The import volume of original sugar increases largely.
