The news on March 23, the domestic media in Ukraine quotes an official's words. They said that Ukraine government may lengthen the quota period of grain exports.
Robert Brovdi who is General Manager in state-owned Khlib Investbud grain Trading Company of Ukraine said that Ukraine has about 3 million tons wheat and 3 million tons corn stocks. The stock of agriculture fund in Ukraine approximately is 1 million tons. These grains cannot export.
The grain foreign trader has other 2.5 million tons corn and 2.2 million tons wheat stocks.
Ukraine implemented the grain exports quota in 2010. Ukraine gave a permit to export 4,200,000 tons grain before the end of March in 2011.
The output of grain in Ukraine reduced 14.8% in 2010. It was 39,230,000 tons (net weight). It is influenced by aridity.
