Shoe exports in Guangdong continue to fall in recent three months

According to the Guangdong Customs statistics, the shoe exports in Guandong province posted a 20.5% growth in pairs to to 3.44 billion and value grew 24.4% to US$ 10.15 billion, but the growth for recent three months continue to drop and show a trend of contraction.
The Guangdong customs blames the decline of shoe exports to the increase of trade barriers, revaluation of RMB, raw materials price hiking and so on.
Further more the foreign rivals in China neighbours like India and Vietnam, etc. has shown stronger competitive with taking advantages of their low labor costs.
Currently India has produced shoes that accounts 16% of world production and ranks the second in the world, Vietnam is the fourth country in shoe production and exporting.
