A farmer in Gulong village, Zhaoyuan city satisfied the earning on the sales of fox skins, and said based on current market he earned 130,000 yuan more than that in previous year on the sales of same number fox skins.
There are at least half of farmers in the Gulong village raising fox and raccoon dog, the current breeding numbers on hand reach 1.5 million in Zhaoyuan county and Duerbote, where are the well known for fox and raccoon dog farming in China.
Due to rebounding in the fur market the fur-bearing animal farmers earned more profit from rising market, for instance a piece of fox skin can be sold at price of 1000 yuan this year, but the price in year earlier was 800 yuan.
The farmers in Gulong village have increased the numbers of fox and raccoon dog in farming to 50,000 from 30,000 in last year.
Farming are also expanded in Minzi village and they built a fur trade fair with business area of 6,000 square meters this year, and one million pieces of fur skins sold here this year. The trade fair attracts more buyers coming, farmers and buyers can achieve the deal directly without third party involved.
