The state environmental protection inspection team came to Quanzhou city on November 24-25, 2010 for an inspection on industrial pollution control. The city vice mayor of Lin Boqian made a report to the inspection team on improvement of environmental protection and measures taken on pollution control. After the hearing the report the inspection team came to concentrated production areas for leather, plating, stone, energy-saving materials and to see what have been resulted on pollution control and emission reduction.
Due to several environmental campaigns had been launched by Quanzhou municipal government this year the city has achieved the their target on environmental improvement.
The team satisfied with the remarkable achievements made in 2010, and urged the city to make further efforts on implementation of environmental law, establishment of information exchange system and coordination on inspection and supervision, so as to improve the awareness of enterprises on environmental protection and enforcement of the environmental regulations.
