Mekkah Metro constructed by China Railway Holding Co. Ltd. started operation on time in 2010.
Through carefully preparation and detailed arrangements, the metro got steady running during Hajj, with 907 trains ran, and 1.2 million person-time of transportation. The transportation capacity reached 50% of the designed capacity, higher the first phase target, that is 35% of the designed capacity.
Therefore, Chinese Commercial Counselor, Mr. Yu Zirong, gave a written comment on the seccessful operation of Mekkah Metro.
