My day being a volunteer promoter

In any person life span there will be always a few 'hard to forget' experiences:in my case one of them will certainly be my presently life at Haikou!
This is not only because I went back to the Unversity (some 35 years after I achieved my degree in Chemistry at home) to study Chinese at HaiDa but also because of the terrific series of nice and absolutely "reach" moments I was lucky to be part of during my staying in Haikou.
There is little doubt that one of my best days so far was last September 2nd when I was chosen a new Volounteer Promoters of Haikou FAO, thanks to the kindness of their team:far from me to be pedantic or else but I really enjoyed the opportunity of contributing to Haikou's deserved further developments in the Tourism activities.
Haikou, and Hainan in general, are still relatevely unknown in Europe and certainly there are in this island all the requisites to be in a near future a first level destination for international holiday makers. In the first place I would mention its people friendly attitude versus waiguoren along with its climate and its beaches, its food and tropical fruits, immediately after the absolutely pristine views offered to the visitors when sightseeing.
Places like Haikou Volcanic Geopark and Meishe Village, and many other place around Haikou, are breath taking and totally unexpected to me....and to many other volounteers with whom I visited those spots!
We were all deeply impressed by Mission Hills Golf Resort, not only because of its unbelievable size and luxurious facilities, but mainly because of the perfect match with the volcanic scenery! This is actually the way to follow: worldwide first level project with full respect of the original sorroundings.Very well done indeed!!!
I wish there will be soon other opportunities for meeting all together again and offer my modest contribution to the development of Haikou while I am living here.
