From July 12th to 15th, a Haikou delegation comprising 53 people and led by Vice Mayor of Haikou Mr. Meng Guohai ,attended the "2010 Hainan (Hong Kong) Modern Service Industry Investment Introduction and Promotion Conference" held in Hong Kong.
During the conference, Haikou enterprises signed six contracts involving over 6.7 billion RMB, relating to development of Beigang Island tourist resort, an Asian computer game, public ferries between Haikou and Hongkong and other service industry investment projects.
At the same time, the "Hainan International Tourism Island.MICE Industry Roundtable" was held in Hong Kong. Over 70 people from Haikou and Hong Kong representing the Convention and Exhibition Industry were present. This was a good chance for Haikou to learn about successful experiences and seek advice about the MICE industry from Hong Kong, so as to promote closer cooperation between the two regions.
