Number of Visitors
- World Expo 2010 Shanghai China received a total number of 73,084,000 visitors, a daily average of about 400,000.
- China National Pavilion hosted nearly 9.3 million visitors.
- 101 delegations of foreign heads of state and government visited the Expo.
Visitor Service
- A total of 56 service stations were set up at the World Expo Park. In addition, there were also 25 ATM machines, and 8 postal service points.
- There were 5 medical stations, 14 temporary medical service stations servicing 11 entrances and exits.
- Public Service Facilities: The Expo Park offered benches and chairs with a seating capacity of 110,000, a total of 117 water stations offering 1,854 drinking water spouts and 256 fixed mist spray nozzles consisting of 42,000 units. There were also 11,000 public toilets as well as long benches totaling 11,500 metres for use by people standing in a queue.
- The Expo Park is equipped with 223 electronic screens beaming out information for various services offered. 100 million copies of Expo floor plans were distributed by the Expo Organiser, of which 8,000 million were Expo Park guide maps, 2000 million guide maps were for direction outside of the Expo Park.
- During the hot weather, the Organizer gave out 18 million fans to the visitors.
Media Services
- During the World Expo, the Press Center of the Expo received a total of 186,000 Chinese and foreign journalists, and it also provided service for nearly 400 exhibitors` press liaison officers, looked after 288 official functions and 198 media delegations.
- The International Broadcasting Center (IBC) provided Expo program content resources for over 30,000 hours of coverage to fully satisfy the needs of media reporting.
Volunteer Services
- 79,965 volunteers worked at the World Expo Park, among whom, 1266 hailed from other provinces and cities, including also 204 foreign volunteers. They were divided into 13 batches of 1.29 million shifts to serve visitors. In total, they clocked up 10 million hours of service to about 4.6 million people.
Maintenance of Park Cleanliness and Hygiene
Nearly 2,000 cleaners and more than 200 cleaning vehicles were deployed everyday to clean the Park, collecting and dispatching garbage. As of October 31, the Park cleaned out a total of almost 3 million tons of garbage.
