METRO Line 10 will open its four-stop section leading to the Hongqiao integrated traffic hub tomorrow, after a successful 10-day trial. The four stops include the stations of Shanghai Zoo, Hongqiao Airport Terminal 1, Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 and Hongqiao Railway Station.
Line 10 runs from the city`s northeast to its southwest part, starting at the Xinjiangwan Station in the north. Near its southern section, Line 10 splits in two, heading to different terminals - Shanghai Zoo Station and Hangzhong Road Station.
Passengers should pay attention when traveling on the "Y-shaped" service to avoid boarding trains heading in the wrong direction, Metro management said yesterday. Passengers making a mistake can get off at any stop on the stretch between Xinjiangwan Road and Longxi Road stations and wait for the correct train. The Longxi Road Station is the last stop before the route splits.
The opening times on Line 10 will also be slightly extended from Tuesday. Trains will start leaving from the three terminuses between 5:30am and 5:55am and services will end at these stations between 9:55pm and 10pm every day.
