Yangtze River Delta Rural Tourism Forum 2010 Convened in Shanghai

THE 2010 Yangtze River Delta Rural Tourism Forum opened in Shanghai on 10 March, 2010. It is reported that the by the end of 2009, Shanghai has built more than 100 rural tourism attractions, with 70 of those equipped with the capacity to receive up to 10,000 visitors annually. 16 of Shanghai`s rural tourism attractions have been selected by China National Tourism Administration as the National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration sites.
Lasting 3 days, the format of the "Forum" consisted of both site inspection of rural tourism sites and discussions. It is aimed at providing an effective platform of exchange and cooperation for people engaged in rural tourism and to jointly explore the hot topics, share and learn from advanced rural tourism development experience both domestically and internationally, encourage innovation and development of new ideas, and jointly solve problems encountered in the process of development, search for a sustainable development path for the Yangtze River Delta rural tourism.
