AFTER a 33 month-long careful and intensive construction, the comprehensive renovation project on the Bund area has recently been completed for final inspection and it is scheduled to open to the public in the morning of 28 March.
The newly-built waterfront area of the Bund boasts a spectacular orderliness and grandeur, offering a sweeping view of both sides of the Huangpu River.
It is reported that about 80 meters of the wall of the Chen Yi Square and the 180-metre wall of the Bund Financial Square have been turned into a colourful Expo wall, which will be fully utilized during the Word Expo to promote Shanghai and the Expo.
The Financial Square located on Fuzhou Road is a newly added public space, where following the example of the Wall Street of the USA, a giant bull sculpture will be mounted. Another major landmark facility on the Financial Square is a huge financial information display screen.
