US businesses in China enjoyed increased revenues and market share in 2010.
A survey by the American Chamber Of Commerce in Shanghai has found 87 percent of companies experienced growth in revenues in 2010 and 61 percent increased their market share.
More than half of the firms surveyed said producing or sourcing goods and services in China for the Chinese market is a primary aim.
Despite the success, US firms continue to see China's "problematic regulatory" climate as a hurdle to business.
20 percent of US companies state growing their interests in China is a top priority and 72 percent said they are designing unique products or services to sell in China.
