On October 29, Wang Zhifa, Honorary Vice President of Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association and the head of mainland tourism industry delegation said at the the opening ceremony and welcoming reception of the 4th Cross-Strait Taipei International Travel Fair, that since July 18, last year, when this policy to allow mainland residents to travel in Taiwan was implemented,, with the strong support and assistance of both sides concerned, the cross-strait tourism industry circles has kept in close cooperation, and actively and steadily pushed forward the mainland residents to travel in Taiwan and the overall running has been going very well. As of October 25, the number of mainland residents to travel in Taiwan has reached 515,000 person-time, achieving a sound and orderly and coordinated development. The cross-strait tourism exchange and cooperation has entered a brand new era featuring mutually sending client source, two-way interaction.
