Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, Asia's No. 5 carrier by market value, said on Wednesday it had bought 25 aircraft in March and was in talks to buy 14 more.

In an earnings filing to the Hong Kong bourse, the carrier said it had bought 15 Airbus A330-300 aircraft and 10 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in March.
In December, it ordered two Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The company said the catalogue price of the March orders was worth HK$46.7 billion (US$6 billion).
The airline also said Boeing 747-8F delivery was delayed until August 2011.
