Brazil's Embraer Sees 2011 Net Revenue at US$5.6 Billion

Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica SA, or Embraer, said it expects net revenue of US$5.6 billion in 2011. It didn't produce the figures in Brazilian reais terms.
Of the total, US$3.1 billion of revenues will be generated by the Commercial Aviation, US$1.2 billion from Executive Aviation; while US$600 million will be generated by Defense and Security Business. The remainder will came from aviation service and other business.
Embraer's net revenue in 2010 was BRL9.38 billion (US$5.65 billion), down from BRL10.8 billion in 2009.
The company late Thursday reported a fourth-quarter net profit of BRL208 million, up 26% from BRL164.6 million in the year-earlier period.
Net revenue in the fourth-quarter rose to BRL3.34 billion from BRL2.83 billion in the fourth-quarter of 2009.
Embraer's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, or Ebitda, totaled BRL334.6 million in the period, up from BRL184.3 million in the year-earlier period.
For 2010, the company posted a net profit of BRL573.6 million, down from BRL912.1 million in 2009.
The company's earnings before interest and taxes, or Ebit, is expected to be US$420 million in 2011 and the Ebit margin is expected to be 7.5%. In 2010, Embraer's Ebit was US$391.7 million, up from US$379.4 million in the year ago period. It's Ebit margin ended the period at 7.3%, up from 6.9% in 2009.
