BOC Aviation to Lease 3 New Boeing 737-800 Aircraft to Copa Airlines

BOC Aviation has signed agreements for the long-term lease of three new Boeing 737-800s to Copa Airlines, marking the first time that company has worked with Panama's flag carrier, according to a press release by BOC Aviation on Nov. 18.
Pedro Heilbron, Chief Executive Officer of Copa Airlines, said, "These aircraft will play an important role in our 2011 growth plan, as we continue to add frequencies to key cities and new destinations to our network."
BOC Aviation is the leading Asia-based aircraft leasing company with a portfolio of 165 modern aircraft operated by airlines worldwide. In addition, the Company has 67 aircraft on firm order and four on committed purchase and leaseback for delivery through to 2014.
BOC Aviation is 100 percent owned by Bank of China. Copa Airlines, subsidiary of Copa Holdings S.A., is a leading Latin American provider of passenger and cargo air transport services.
