The Dalian government signed a cooperating framework agreement with China's major aviation company, China National Aviation Corporation (CNAC), in Beijing on Nov. 18, in a move to found Dalian Airlines.
According to the agreement, CNAC and the Dalian Free Trade Zone Administration Committee will partner to establish Dalian Airlines, which, if approved, will be Dalian's first air carrier.
The project focuses on public air logistics and passenger transport service. The two partners will also cooperate on airport construction, airplane food offerings, maintenance and tourism.
The airline network, centered in Dalian, will connect all Chinese provincial capitals, coastal cities and tourism destinations and also reach major cities in Japan and South Korea.
