China
China's stocks rebounded and closed higher on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.84 percent, or 45.57 points, to end at 2,516.09.
The Shenzhen Component Index increased 2.16 percent, or 232.75 points, to finish at 11,011.18.
Japan
Japanese stocks rose Wednesday with the Nikkei stock index rising over 2 percent, as a stop in the yen's advance against the dollar triggered demand for export-related shares.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average, which fell to its lowest level since April 2009 the previous day, closed up 172.84 points, or 2.01 percent, from Tuesday to 8,763.41. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange ended 12.43 points, or 1.68 percent, higher to 753.63.
Australia
Australian shares soared 2.65 per cent to the close as surprisingly strong GDP data further boosted a strong start by materials and finance stocks.
The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index soared 107.9 points, or 2.65 per cent, at 4,183.4, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 102.2 points (2.46 per cent) at 4,262.9.
