The gold price in Hong Kong went up 382 HK dollars to open at 17,020 HK dollars per tael on Wednesday, according to the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society.
The price is equivalent to 1,832.36 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 40.67 U.S. dollars at the latest exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.797 HK dollars.
