Chinese shares gained ground in the morning session on Tuesday, tracking Wall Street's surge overnight.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.99 percent, or 25.61 points, to 2,602.02.
The Shenzhen Component Index went up 1.22 percent, or 138.96 points, to finish the morning session at 11,511.35.
