Fortune China revealed its 2011 'Chinese Fortune 500' list this Wednesday with Sinopec topping the list for the second time with its revenue totaling 1.91 trillion yuan, Beijing Times reports.
Following Sinopec are China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) and China Mobile, all of which are state-owned enterprises.
The total revenue of all 500 companies totaled 18.9 trillion yuan, which accounts for 47 percent of China's GDP and is an increase of 38 percent compared to last year.
The prestigious list revealed that the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China's largest commercial bank, secures the top place in being the most profitable company with a net profit of 165.2 billion, while nine other companies failed to make money.
This is the second consecutive year that Fortune China released the list.
