High stretch retroreflective trimming with a twist

Write: Nicholas [2011-11-16]
For the upcoming Performance Days road show in November 2011, JRC-REFLEX/IBR continues to expand its range of fancy retroreflective trimming. The latest additions combine perforations with neon backs or scalloped edging, offering a new series of novel twists to the high-tech aesthetic performance wear trimming.
Well-known for its innovative range of high performance retroreflective and elastic trimming, Romans, France-based Company JRC-REFLEX/IBR never stops trying new combinations to expand its product offering.
The newest addition to the company s Perforated trimming range infuses the added appeal of discreet colour to the high stretch light-reflecting silver taping. The elastic retroreflective silver face fabric is bonded to a Lycra-based knit that comes in five bright colours (neon pink, neon yellow, neon orange, bright red and black) and is perforated with tiny holes (measuring 1 to 2 mm).
The resulting product is available in different widths, from 140 cm to 8 mm pre-folded and welded piping trims (offering an elasticity of 50%). The Perforated range offers an ideal combination of luminosity, breathability and aesthetics with the subtle neon flash revealed by the micro-perforations.
In the same techno-design vein, JRC-REFLEX/IBR has introduced a novel graphic twist to the retroreflective pinked or crant trimming range. The ornamental edges come in several styles: classic triangular crant , round undulating crant , scalloped edge as well as the latest style combining perforations and pinking with the Perforated Crant scalloped edge trim.
Perforations, coloured backs and pinked edges are combined to create a whole new series of high-tech ornamental trimmings. This design perk has made JRC-REFLEX/IBR a must-see supplier for innovative sportswear companies. In addition to the company s traditional clientele in cycling wear, running wear and footwear, it is expanding its clientele in the field s of seamless garments and feminine active sportswear.
Specializing in retroreflective and elastic trimming, the Romans, France-based company JRC-REFLEX/IBR has developed an extensive range of high performance trimming targeting active sports apparel end-uses from first layer to outerwear.
Following the merger of JRC-REFLEX and IBR in 2008, JRC-REFLEX/IBR is relocating production to a brand new site in Northern Italy at the end of the year 2011. The new plant is three times larger than the previous one and boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and machinery that increases the company s production capacity and productivity twofold, enabling it to better respond to existing and new clients.
Custom-designed products are an important portion of the company s business, and the new plant should provide customers with even more options. Last but not least, the factory is now closer to a major motorway.
