Qantas will have normal operations on domestic and international flights within 24 hours after Fair Work Australia (FWA) ordered an immediate end to all industrial action, the Australian airline said on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference in Sydney on Monday morning, Qantas Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alan Joyce said the company had every confidence in the FWA process and would respect the decision from FWA.

"It is a fair, reasonable and rational process. All parties will be treated equally," Joyce told reporters.

Joyce said international and domestic flights would resume from Monday afternoon.

He apologized to Qantas passengers for the inconvenience and distress that has been caused by the industrial action.

"We will be returning to business as usual over the next 24 hours," Joyce said.
