IPhone maker Foxconn is now said to be looking at investment opportunities in Brazil.
Foxconn has now confirmed an earlier statement by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, who says the company is considering investing 12 billion US dollars in Brazil.
Foxconn now says Brazil is strategically positioned to meet the needs of the growing markets throughout Latin America.
It's being reported that Foxconn is now planning to begin assembling Apple's iPad at its plants in the South American country by the end of November.
The Brazilian government and Foxconn are now negotiating a range of details, including the location of the facilities, financing, taxes, broadband infrastructure and logistics.
