Airbus has won aircraft order to deliver three A330-320s to AirAsia X, an Asian long-haul budget carrier, the French group said Monday.
Expected to be delivered by 2014, the ordered aircraft will offer low fare service to destinations in Europe, Asia and the Pacific, Airbus said in a statement posted on its website.
Orders for Airbus planes stood at 1,100 so far with 750 A330s having been delivered to 90 operators in 50 countries worldwide, according to the statement.
Airbus registered record deliveries in 2010 after providing 3,552 aircraft worth 480 billion U.S. dollars.
