MACAO - Hutchison Telephone (Macao), which markets itself as 3 Macao, has announced that it will launch Macao's "first-ever one-stop mobile e-book platform in the first quarter" of the year, the Macao Post Daily reported on Tuesday.
The company made the announcement about its "3 Books" launch during a media luncheon on Fisherman's Wharf.
"With over a million books in what will be Macao's largest electronic book collection, accessible via platforms such as the iPhone and PCs, the 3 Books service will offer users the most refreshing and comprehensive reading experience anytime, anywhere, " the announcement said.
The newspaper quoted the announcement as saying that e-book subscribers will have unlimited access to e-books "and the latest local and foreign magazines, with each title updated monthly."
