Jin Shangjing History Museum is also known as Jin Dynasty Shangjing History Museum. Located in Chuannan Street, Acheng District of Harbin City, the museum has very strong flavor of the Jin Dyanasty.
It is designed by Qi Kang, a famous building expert and the academician of Chinese Academy of Science.
The museum houses more than 2,000 cultural relics, including 30 first national level cultural relics, 56 second level and third level cultural relics. They embodies 38 years of development of Jin Dynasty's history, culture, military, politics, economy and transportation from the year of its foundation 1115 to the year of 1153. The beautiful bronze mirrors are the most representative and special exhibition in the Museum.
Jin Shangjing History Museum is the best place to study the facts of Jurchen (aka Nuzhen, ancestors of the Manchus). The museum attracts more than one million visitors from home and abroad every year. It was once listed as the National Top Ten Fine Works Exhibition in 1998 and "AAAA" tourist site in 2001 respectively.
