Shenzhen Safari Park is the first open-ended zoo in China, located on the bank of the picturesque Xili Lake. Occupying an area of 1,200,000 m , this magical park is renowned for its kiwi birds and beasts, its quiet and elegant environment as well as the quite exquisite landscape design. ?
Shenzhen Safari Park is home to over 10,000 animals and birds, comprising over 300 species in total. Besides showcasing animals from all over China, the park also boasts animals from overseas, including many rare species, such as the panda, golden monkey, giraffe, red-crowned crane, and Indian elephant. The park is also the only safari park in the world to currently boast a tigon (a genetic cross between a tiger and a lioness) among its inhabitants.
Shenzhen Safari Park consists of three zones: the herbivore zone, the beasts of prey zone, and the walking and performing zone. Inside the walking and performing zone, travellers can find the Crocodile Pool, Monkey Hill, Snake House, Panda Hall, Golden Monkey enclosure and viewing tower; they can also enjoy wonderful performances from the likes of the Chinese and Russian State Circuses, the majestic-looking King of Animals, as well as a funny wedding ceremony performed by bears and beautiful dances performed by red-crowned cranes.
