Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is located in Lu Jia Zui, the commercial district of Pudong and is adjacent to the famous Oriental Pearl Tower. Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is a unique world-class leisure destination that one must visit when in Shanghai. It is currently one of the largest aquariums in Asia with the world's longest underwater viewing tunnel at 155 meter.

The Aquarium is built with an investment of US $ 50 million and spans over 5 levels with 9 major exhibition zones and over 36 thematic areas. Here you would be able to experience not just the wonders and beauties of the underwater world but also the uniqueness and charm of each different continent. Upon entering the aquarium you will find yourself immersed in an amazing aquatic world that is home to more than 15,000 fishes from a variety of over 360 species.

Besides being able to see some of the rare and near extinct aquatic animals from China, you would also be fascinated by the different types of species from other oceans and continents, such as the sawfish, leafy and weedy sea dragons, sand tiger sharks, electric eels, seals, penguins and many more.
