Liangyuan Park is one of the four most famous park in Guangdong, as a private garden of Ling clan, so is called Liangyuan Park. It is composed of Twelve Stone Rooms, Qunxing Thatched Hall , Fenjiang Thatched Cottage, Hanxiang Inn, etc, presenting a grand scale of the architectures of the Qing Dynasty.
The park features the complete style of local architectures. It was constructed in a phased manner, the construction period last about 40 years during Jiaqing and Daoguang periods of Qing Dynasty by four local personalities, all of whom were poets, calligraphers and painters.
It is a very beautiful Park that are clustered fruit trees, beautiful flowers, rounding waterways and waterfronts covered by pines and willows, thus turning it into a unique park of amorous charm in the water-surrounded Lingnan regions.
In 1990, the park was listed as the provincial key protection unit of historical and cultural relics. And in 1994, the park was under Restoration, aming to present the park's original scenes.
