Despite continued friction between itself and its Chinese arm Alibaba, a top Yahoo! official is now suggesting they're planning to expand their R&D operations in China.
Chief Product officer Blake Irving is now making that suggestion.
Yahoo added more than 100 people last year to its Beijing research and development center.
Irving says Yahoo plans to continue hiring at a similar rate this year.
China's R&D operation is Yahoo's third largest in the world, behind only its operations in California and Bangalore, India.
