Alibaba Group released a report summarizing the company's contribution to the quake-afflicted Qingchuan area, in Sichuan province, over the past three years, Sina.com reported.
More than 60 million yuan has been donated to Sichuan by Alibaba and its online-payment subscribers after a 8.0-magnitude earthquake jolted China's Southwest provinces in 2008. The employees of Alibaba have provided more than 6,000 hours of voluntary service in the quake-affected area. Meanwhile, the company also helped the disaster-stricken people in Qingchuan to establish electronic-commerce businesses, the report said.
