CGGC Extolled for Corporate Image as Responsible Corporate Citizen

On October 31, 2009, CGGC was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to participate in the Ministry-held Forum on China-Africa Cooperation theme opening day to the public.

As the only representative of the Chinese construction enterprises that have made the presence in Africa, CGGC was invited to deliver a speech and extolled by the audience for the good corporate image of taking an active part in and promoting the African construction, undertaking the social responsibility and joining hands with the African people to seek common development.

The opening day to the public was held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to respond to the fourth ministerial meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The event boasted rich contents, lively forms, novelty and unique features. At the event, the traditional friendship and mutual cooperation between China and Africa were recalled and discussed by the attendees, including Yang Jiechi, the Chinese Foreign Minister; Zhai Juan, Assistant to the Minister; the envoys and diplomats of 36 African countries in China; Chinese aiding staff; representatives of Chinese enterprises doing business in Africa; African students in China; and 200 representatives from all walks of life.
The official from CGGC introduced in his speech the construction projects undertaken by the company in Africa, and stated CGGC had actively broadened the sources of employment and created job opportunities while being committed to the infrastructure construction in the African countries. He also revealed that CGGC had always helped the host countries foster talents from the strategic perspective, so that these countries can develop better. When he presented the group picture of Yang Jixue, President of CGGC, and the local people at the commencement ceremony for the Bamako No. 3 Bridge in Mali, the sincere emotion between the Chinese people and the African people touched all guests, and the warm applause took the event to a climax.
During the event, Zhang Ming, Director of the Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, received the official of the CGGC International, and highly commended CGGC for its answering the appeal of the state to "go global , implementing the strategy of going global and achieving the swift development.
