Mr. Wang Shuai Ting Visited ALPIQ in Switzerland

On November 16 and November 17, Mr. Wang Shuai Ting, the Vice Chairman of China Resources Holdings Co., Ltd.( CRC ), visited ALPIQ Holdings Ltd. ( ALPIQ), one of the top energy companies in Switzerland. Mr. Zhang Shen Wen, Executive Director of CR Power and General Manager of CR New Energy, and the party also attended the visit.

Mr.Hans (Chairman of the Board of ALPIQ), Mr. Giovanni (CEO of ALPIQ) and Mr. Wang, had an in-depth discussion over several power generation fields, including wind power, nuclear power and waster-to-energy technology. Both parties expressed expectation on strengthening cooperation, giving full play to complementary advantages and achieving mutually beneficial results.

During the trip, Mr. Wang and the party visited ALPIQ Gosgen Nuclear Power Plant, which is comprised with one unit of 970MW and is located in the South of Jura Province in Switzerland. The plant commenced commercial operation in 1979, and the kernel uses the pressurized water reactor technology. So far no major accident has occurred. Afterwards, the group also visited KEZO Waste-to-Energy Power Plant, which is half an hour's drive from Zurich City. Mr. Daniel, the plant director, gave a detailed introduction of the construction and operation of the plant. The plant adopts Martin Type Municipal Refuse Incinerator, with daily waste disposal capacity of 600 tons per day and annual power generation of 140 million kWh. Daniel and Mr. Wang exchanged opinions concerning the energy saving and resource recycling of waste-to-energy power generation. Both parties agree to collaborate in investment and construction of waste-to-energy pilot project in China if conditions permit.
