On 26 March, 2009, two DMUs for Ghana were shipped in Tianjin seaport. The manufacturer is CNR Tangshan Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd. and the contractor is LORIC Import & Export Corp., Ltd. The Buyer is AMANDI HOLDING LTD. The DMUs will arrive Tema seaport next month and will running between Accra and Tema. This is the first Chinese DMU for Africa.
On 19 March, 2009, rolling out ceremony was held in CNR Tangshan. The president of AMD, Ghana, vice-mayor of Tangshan city and vice-president of CNR present the ceremony.
The DMU is composed of 2M +4T. The seating capacity is 616 and the design speed is 80 Km/h.
