Baosteel No. 5 Steel Co.'s stainless steel long product project was put into production on Dec. 18. Xie Qihua, chairwoman and president of Shanghai Baosteel Group Corporation, Liu Guosheng, vice chairman and Xu Lejiang, vice president of Baosteel Group attended the ceremony. Baosteel No. 5 Steel's stainless steel long product project is a world-class stainless steel rolling line. Its production capacity will reach 300 thousand tons of steel and 350 thousand tons of steel products. The products will meet the market demand for high grade, high-tech and high value-added products.
The unveiling ceremony for Baosteel Specialty Steel Technical Center was also held on the same day.
