Since the opening of Paralympic Village on August 30, BOC PLV outlet officially began its Paralympic Financial service. In the first two days, the outlet made over 900 deposits and 220 corporate businesses for about 500 customers.

With the idea of People-oriented and comprehensive service for the athletes , the outlet completed transition work for the Paralympic Games within a very short period. Accessible facilities in waiting and fill-in area, lower information desk and anti-skid rubber for barrier-free ramps have been installed; and the transition of the signage and look of the Games has also been successfully completed.

To better facilitate amputee athletes, the outlet set up special windows for those with wheelchairs and is adjusting its business procedure for those who need help in filling up vouchers. For higher efficiency and better convenience, the outlet also made specimen of cash and transfer checks, so that the customers can understand the requirement for filling in checks in a clear and direct way. Q&As for using the temporary account are also available to the customers.

To better serve over 8000 athletes and officials in PLV, the outlet organized further training sessions on service etiquette and held pep-up talk to all the staff. The staff, with rich experience from Olympic financial service, made careful preparation to ensure that Paralympic athletes can enjoy the Bank s financial service with sincerity, understanding and respect. After the transition, the PLV outlet better satisfies the needs of Paralympic financial service in terms of hardware facility, business procedure and service notion.

Besides PLV outlets, other BOC temporary outlets at IBC, MPC and Paralympic Family Hotel also made great efforts for the Paralymic Games and have received lots of customers in these days. The considerate and home-like services have been widely acclaimed by athletes, officials and media reporters of the Paralympic Games. Mr. GEORG SCHLACHTENBERGER, Chief Operating Officer of International Paralympic Committee, was very satisfied with the Bank s service and took photo with the staff (see the following picture).
